Description
Known as one of the most expensive wines in the world, Romanée Conti enjoys a worldwide reputation thanks to its historic estate. Grown in a terroir of less than 2 hectares in Burgundy, the Romanée Conti is produced only in limited stock, between four and six thousand bottles per year. This fact justifies this extremely rare wine its high price. Only persons accredited by the managers of the Romanée Conti have the exceptional authorization to obtain a caisse of the Romanée Conti.
The wines produced by the estate that year were praised for their quality, expressive character and ageing potential. The 2006 vintages of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti stood out for their fruity concentration, well-integrated tannins and harmonious balance. The wines revealed captivating aromatic profiles, highlighting notes of red and black fruits, delicate spices and earthy nuances typical of Burgundy.
The 2006 Romanée-Conti, as the estate’s flagship cuvée, was particularly remarkable. It displayed an elegant structure with fine tannins, accompanied by a seductive aromatic palette of ripe fruit and spices, testifying to the greatness of this legendary wine.
