About the artist
In 2017, Beatrice enrolled at Manchester School of Arts to study Illustration with Animation and received a First class BA Hons. This lead her to picking up a diverse multi media skill set that she has used to create ever evolving Portraiture, Environmental paintings, animatics, storyboards and character designs, both traditional and digital.
In 2021 Beatrice joined SFI COOL COMICS where she honed her skills in building up character designs, background art and visual storytelling from a written script to a finished, full-colour, ongoing comic (KURAGARI SEISHIN) and storybook (GHOST STORY SAGA: ARTHUR’S JOURNEY). She has a steady stream of commissions from a vast global audience ranging from simple bust portraiture to full environmental scenes, some of these including 2 Album covers for ‘THE FIVEOFIVES’ and a 20 second animatic.
Beatrice was raised by her parents who are both artists, Father (fine artist painter), Mother (glass blower and craftsman), which lead to a very early exposure to an invaluable library of artistic influences from painters, sculptors, films and musicians, both contemporary and historical. She never lost the enthusiasm to explore and discover, a select few of her influencers are Yoshitaka Amano (visual artist), John Currin (Painter), Bill Sienkiewicz (comic Artist), FRUiTS (Fashion Photography) and Neon Genesis Evangelion (Animation franchise).
