Description
Over the course of several years, Norfolk sculptors Gavin Fulcher and Nic Dutton dedicated their part-time efforts to create a life-size statue of the beloved fictional character Alan G. Partridge, who holds a special connection to the region. The guerrilla art project was unveiled outside The Forum in Norwich on September 24th, 2020, capturing the public’s imagination and quickly going viral. The sculpture even prompted a cheeky response from the character himself, as portrayed by Steve Coogan:
“If the people of Norwich and surrounding areas want to memorialise me in sculpture, then as long as it is rendered in alpha brass with a low zinc content and not, say, a duplex brass, I grant my consent and will instruct my legal team to resheathe their daggers.”
The statue attracted thousands of visitors during its brief four-day display before being reclaimed by the artists.
This unique piece is now available for purchase. The sculpture is a hollow, life-size representation of Alan Partridge, standing at 5’9″ in cold-cast brass polyurethane resin. Weighing approx 150 kg, it offers an eye-catching and conversation-starting tribute to one of Britain’s most iconic comedic characters.
Don’t miss the chance to own a piece of pop culture history—ideal for collectors, art enthusiasts, or die-hard Partridge fans.
